Introducing the all-new 2027 Coachman Veloce – Coachman's first dedicated campervan range and an exciting new chapter for one of Britain's best-known premium leisure vehicle manufacturers.
The Veloce brings the craftsmanship, interior finish and attention to detail associated with Coachman's caravans and motorhomes into a much more compact Fiat Ducato panel-van conversion.
Launching with two models – the Veloce VR65 and Veloce VL65 – both are two-berth campervans designed primarily for couples who want a premium touring vehicle that's easier to drive, manoeuvre and explore with than a conventional coachbuilt motorhome.
Coachman's First Campervan
The Veloce represents something genuinely new for Coachman.
For the 2027 season, the Hull manufacturer has expanded into the campervan market with two Fiat Ducato-based models, sitting alongside its established Sportivo, Avventura and Travel Master motorhomes.
It's an interesting combination:
Coachman luxury.
Campervan practicality.
Fiat Ducato engineering.
Compact dimensions.
Proper touring equipment.
For customers who love Coachman but don't want a full-size caravan or motorhome, the Veloce opens up a completely new way to travel.
2027 Coachman Veloce VR65
The Veloce VR65 is the more unusual of the two layouts.
It's a two-berth campervan featuring an electrically operated rear rise-and-fall double bed.
During the day, the bed can be raised to create a spacious rear living area. When you're ready for bed, lower it back into position.
That means you don't have to choose between having a generous lounge and a proper bed – the same area performs both jobs.
It's exactly the sort of clever space-saving design that makes sense in a premium campervan.
2027 Coachman Veloce VL65
The Veloce VL65 takes a different approach, providing a fixed twin-single-bed arrangement.
Twin beds are particularly popular with customers planning longer touring holidays because they're convenient, comfortable and don't require making up every evening.
The VL65 is also a two-berth campervan with an MTPLM of 3,500kg.
So the choice between the two Veloce models is largely about how you prefer to sleep and use your living space.

Fiat Ducato 140hp Automatic
Both Veloce models are based on the Fiat Ducato.
Coachman has chosen the 2.2-litre 140hp diesel engine combined with an eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
That should make the Veloce particularly attractive for customers planning long-distance touring.
There's no manual gearbox to work through in traffic and the 140hp engine provides a useful balance between performance and touring practicality.
3,500kg MTPLM
Another important figure is the 3,500kg MTPLM.
That puts the Veloce within the weight category that can generally be driven on a standard UK Category B car licence, subject of course to the driver's individual licence entitlement.
For customers who don't want to move into heavier motorhome territory, that's a significant advantage.
Premium Coachman Interior
Coachman hasn't simply put some furniture into the back of a Fiat van.
The Veloce interior has been designed to deliver the premium atmosphere customers expect from the Coachman name.
Features include Primavera wood-grain furniture, flush-fitting overhead lockers, French Oak-style herringbone flooring, soft-close kitchen furniture and carefully integrated lighting.
The result is intended to feel much more like a compact Coachman motorhome than a basic van conversion.
Proper Campervan Kitchen
Despite its compact dimensions, the Veloce has a surprisingly comprehensive kitchen.
Equipment includes a Dometic two-burner hob and sink combination, Thetford integrated oven and grill and a 90-litre fridge.
There's also a solid-surface worktop and lift-up extension to provide additional preparation space.
So whether you're making breakfast before setting off or cooking dinner after a day exploring, you've got a proper touring kitchen available.
Your Own Washroom & Shower
The Veloce isn't simply a weekend day van.
It's designed as a self-contained campervan for proper touring.
The washroom incorporates a square shower cubicle, washbasin, mixer shower and Thetford cassette toilet.
Having your own bathroom gives you considerably more independence when you're travelling and reduces your reliance on campsite facilities.
For longer European trips, that's particularly valuable.
100Ah Lithium Battery
Coachman has also given the Veloce an impressive electrical specification.
A Sargent 100Ah lithium leisure battery is fitted as standard, together with a battery management system and Sargent electrical controls.
Lithium technology is particularly attractive for customers wanting greater independence away from electric hook-up.
110W Solar Panel
There's also a 110-watt roof-mounted flexible solar panel.
That helps maintain the leisure battery when you're away from mains electricity and makes the Veloce better suited to more independent touring.
Combine solar with the lithium battery and you've got a campervan that's much better prepared for nights away from conventional campsite hook-ups.
Whale Heating & Hot Water
The Veloce is equipped for more than summer weekends.
Coachman specifies a Whale 6kW underfloor blown-air heating system together with a Whale Expanse underfloor water heater.
The fresh and waste-water tanks are also insulated and heated.
That makes the Veloce a much more serious proposition for customers who intend to use their campervan throughout the touring season.
90-Litre Fresh Water Tank
For increased independence, there's an insulated and heated 90-litre underslung fresh-water tank.
Waste water is handled by a 45-litre insulated and heated underslung tank.
That's useful capacity for a compact two-person campervan and another indication that Coachman intends the Veloce to be used for genuine touring.
20-Litre LPG Tank
Rather than relying solely on conventional removable gas bottles, the Veloce incorporates an underslung 20-litre LPG tank.
That keeps valuable interior storage free and makes the gas installation particularly convenient for regular touring.
Thule 4m Awning
A Thule four-metre awning is also fitted, allowing you to quickly create a sheltered outdoor area alongside the campervan.
Pull up somewhere spectacular, wind out the awning, get the chairs out and suddenly your living space becomes considerably larger.
That's campervan life.
Avtex Smart TV
Entertainment hasn't been forgotten either.
The Veloce specification includes an Avtex 19-inch Smart TV with Freely, together with Teleco Wi-Fi equipment.
It's another feature that makes the Veloce suitable for longer periods away rather than simply occasional overnight trips.
10-Inch Uconnect Infotainment
Up front, the Fiat cab provides plenty of modern technology.
A 10-inch Uconnect touchscreen incorporates DAB radio and satellite navigation, while an integrated reversing camera makes manoeuvring considerably easier.
Cruise control, cab air conditioning, a leather multifunction steering wheel and swivelling cab seats add to the touring experience.
Once you're parked, turn the seats around and they become part of your living accommodation.
Made for Couples
Both Veloce models are fundamentally designed around two-person touring.
And that's actually one of their strengths.
