FIND YOUR PERFECT LAYOUT
How Many Berths Do You Need?
The number of berths describes how many people a caravan is designed to sleep. However, the layout is just as important. A four-berth caravan with a permanent island bed can be ideal for two people, while another four-berth layout may be better suited to a young family.
2 Berth Caravans
Perfect for couples and solo tourers, two-berth caravans offer practical living accommodation, comfortable seating and a choice of compact, easy-to-manage layouts.
Ideal for couples, weekend breaks and extended touring.
4 Berth Caravans
A popular choice for couples wanting a permanent bedroom or families needing additional sleeping accommodation. Explore island beds, twin singles and flexible lounge conversions.
Ideal for couples seeking extra comfort and smaller families.
Family Caravans
Larger family layouts can offer dedicated bunk beds, flexible sleeping arrangements, spacious lounges and useful storage for everything that comes along on a family holiday.
Ideal for family adventures and longer touring holidays.
Finding Your Ideal Caravan Layout
Two caravans with the same number of berths can feel completely different inside. The arrangement of beds, seating, kitchens and washrooms influences how comfortable a caravan feels during everyday use.
Popular Sleeping Layouts
- Island beds: A permanent double bed with convenient access around the sides.
- Fixed single beds: Comfortable individual sleeping arrangements.
- French beds: A space-efficient permanent double bed.
- Bunk beds: Practical dedicated sleeping accommodation for children.
- Convertible lounges: Flexible seating that can become additional sleeping space.
Living Space & Comfort
- End washrooms: Generous dressing areas and often separate showers.
- Central washrooms: Convenient access from different living areas.
- 8ft-wide caravans: Additional interior width for more spacious touring.
- Single-axle caravans: Often more compact and easier to manoeuvre.
- Twin-axle caravans: Frequently chosen for larger, more luxurious layouts.
We recommend viewing different layouts in person. Sitting in the lounge, exploring the storage and walking through the caravan can reveal details that photographs and floorplans alone cannot convey.
PRACTICAL BUYING ADVICE
Caravan Weights and Towing Compatibility
Before choosing your new caravan, it's important to consider your vehicle's towing capacity, the caravan's Maximum Technically Permissible Laden Mass (MTPLM), noseweight limits and any relevant driving licence requirements.
A lightweight caravan may be particularly appealing if you have a smaller tow vehicle or prefer a more compact touring outfit. Larger caravans can provide extra space and comfort, but require careful consideration of towing limits.
Our team can help explain caravan specifications and the information needed to assess compatibility. Always confirm your vehicle manufacturer's limits and the applicable legal requirements before towing.
MAKING YOUR NEXT CARAVAN POSSIBLE
Caravan Finance and Part Exchange
Part Exchange Your Caravan
If you're upgrading from your current caravan, part exchange may provide a convenient way to move into a new model. Our team can discuss your existing caravan, its condition and your preferred replacement, helping make the process straightforward.
Caravan Finance Options
Finance options may be available to help spread the cost of your next caravan. Speak to our team about current arrangements, deposits and repayment options. Finance is subject to status, eligibility and applicable terms.
