There has been a caravan dealer in the Gosforth area since 1938. Over the years there has been a change of location to our current premises (in 1968) as well as a couple of different names and people involved along the way.

We are a small family owned business, with the current owner having taken over in 2013, from the original owner’s family. People see the Big Box Retailer image of the business initially, but really we are an independent small family firm.
About United British Caravans & Leisure
Most recently the business has transformer into a retailer of much more than just caravans. We now offer a range of motorhomes and campervans as well as stocking more lines than ever in our leisure shop. This has led us to rebrand slightly and we are now UBC & Leisure Limited. We still retain the trading style of United British Caravans as UBC is the second oldest caravan dealer in England, and this is still a massive part of what we do.

We are situated in the North East of England close to Scotland and on the border of Northumberland. Our surrounding areas are full of great destinations to explore whether you are camping, caravanning or taking your all new motorhome or campervan out for a spin. An ideal opportunity to see a part of the world you have never visited if you are picking up a new vehicle from us.
United British Caravans is the second oldest caravan dealer in England. We have been selling Bailey Caravans for decades and have also now expanded to offer their Motorhomes and Campervans as part of our offering of leisure vehicles. The origins of United British Caravans span back to 1938 which means we are 10 years older than Bailey of Bristol which was founded in 1948. Like Bailey we are still a family owned business.
We also sell other new caravans, motorhomes and campervans from brands such as Coachman, Elddis, Xplore, Etrusco, Buccaneer, McLouis and Eriba.
We sell used caravans from Bailey, Coachman, Elddis, Xplore, Compass, Swift, Sprite, Sterling, Adria, Eriba, Sterling, Lunar, Knaus, Ace, Abbey, Alaria, Buccaneer. Our used caravan stock depends on what part exchanges we have received recently, and also we do buy used caravan in for resale.
As well as having caravans, motorhomes and campervans for sale, we also have a massive leisure shop selling camping and caravanning accessories. We also stock a wide range of caravan spares, as well as caravan awnings, tents, TentBox products and now we have just been appointed as a Yeti dealer too. So if you need the world’s best cool box then come and see us!
We have recently incorporated our physical shop into our website so you can now shop online. To view our products just select from the menu and be prepared to find things you just didn’t know even existed. We have lots of items people use for everyday outdoors activities, not just caravanning. We also have a range of tents and outdoor furniture. Other more quirky items such as stoves that can be powered by burning twigs, that also charge your mobile phone can be found. We also have other items that people find great for festivals such as small shelters and windbreaks and even the shower friend!
